Any over heating problems?

I can say that as I was in the process of downloading all my apps and getting the phone set up I did feel some warmth at the top half of the phone. Never noted that before on the GNote 2.

I asked this in another thread but figured I'll ask here to.

How is it when holding the phone for a phone call? Awkward?

Also you said micro SIM? That sucks.. My SIM from this HTC One won't fit then right? I'll have to fork out another $10 for a SIM :o.

For me the phone "feels" a little bigger than the GNote2. I am a big person and have owned every GNote released and I never felt awkward with any of them but I would say the GNote2 had the best "hand feel" to me. Not saying there is anything wrong with this one however.

I think the SIM in the HTC One is the same as in this phone.

Actually a micro sim comes with the phone I believe if you get it from tmobile.. There was one in the box when I opened it up I was surprised.

I bought this phone from T-Mobile in black. It is absolutely amazing. The battery life, lightning-fast charging and crystal-clear resolution are probably my favorite features. I can't do it enough justice in words, but those who own it will know what I'm talking about. Just to give you a quick rundown of my observations:

Battery Life: From 100%-92%, 6 hrs 10 mins, 45 mins screen time (Heavy use, including videos, SMS/MMS every 2-3 mins, and S Note); Btw, this is on LTE, not WiFi :)
Charging: Plugged in at 15%, charged to 100% in just under 1.5 hrs (AC, not direct USB)
Speed/Responsiveness: Absolutely no lag while navigating the many features in this powerhouse. Also, from the moment I hit Reboot to when I'm back at the Lock Screen is ~15 secs
Misc: I quickly rooted the phone, mostly for TitaniumBackup, but realized that the phone allows you to "Turn Off" (equivalent to Freezing in TiBu) nearly all built-in apps... pretty awesome

With that, I do have a question for anyone else with this phone. I've tried several times to Scrapbook a YouTube clip and it doesn't allow me to play the video from the Scrapbook, as seen in Samsung's demo video. Has anyone had success with this? I've drawn a circle, box, and just about every other shape you can think of, but I just get a thumbnail when I look at the Scrapbook entry. I would appreciate any insight into this issue. Internet searches have not yielded any results, likely because of how new the phone is. I'm really hoping it's not a feature excluded from

I saw on another thread that you shouldn't update the Youtube app which it came in installed on your note 3. But I don't know why. This is all I know.:)

Something to do with the scrapbook feature able to save videos offline on Youtube app installed with the phone.

Are you in fact saying that you got that amount of time with only 8%battery? Or did you mean you used 92%... cause I must be doing something wrong....

How is the Evernote integration? Is it automatic or do you have to manually sync it each time? And did you get a free year of Evernote premium? This was announced with the international version and usually the carriers don't like yo include that.

Thanks in advance!

Does this explain? Never used it untill you mentioned it.

I got that amount of time with only 8% battery. If you've installed a ton of apps, it might throw the scales off. I have about 20 downloaded apps installed. I don't have power saving on, and I keep GPS off until I need it. For sync, I have Gmail and Yahoo Mail to push messages as soon as they come in. Faceboook is set to send notifications with new messages only, Evernote is set to sync every 1 day, and I have Google Calendar set to sync immediately upon modification. Also, I have auto-brightness off... it's at about 20% and it looks very bright. Screen turn-off and lock are set to the lowest times (I think it's 15 seconds for screen and 1.5 seconds for the button lights on the bottom). Haptic feedback is off.

If there are any other settings you want to know about on my phone, let me know. I had my Galaxy S3 configured the same way and the battery life was nowhere near that good. I want to mention that I have four different batteries for the Galaxy S3 (I like to switch them out rather than plug in), and as soon as it becomes available, I'm getting another battery for this bad boy. I doubt I'll ever be able to burn through my battery life in a single day, though.... but it's good to be prepared.

I can confirm that you get a 1-year subscription for Evernote Premium. You can choose the sync intervals, as well as a ton of other customization options.

Yep that does, thanks! I just remember when I got my HTC One X, it was supposed to come with 2 years of additional Dropbox storage but the carriers didn't allow it.

How you root your note 3? Any instructions or link to the instructions?

I have the same settings for almost everything. The only differences being that I have email sync set to manual so it never even tries to check. Other wise I think I have the same settings as you do. I'm at 25 percent after being off the charger for 9 hours... Maybe I'm missing something?
