I have to choose!

Help me...I have the original droid...Im switching to the incredible or the X...why should I choose the incredible over the X? Or vice versa? Could any one offer two or three reasons for either? Im really torn here!

Ok,I went from the droid to the inc .
With the option of the x I chose the inc because of tthe form factor and it simply fits I looked at the x and it is justg flat out to large to conviently carry around say in a pocket although it really is a nice piece of hardware as is the dinc so I suggest go and play with each then consider the pros and cons of each and how you intend to use it ie: lotta video nice size screen for the x if your pocket is your primary case dinc either way you can't go wrong with the dinc or the x imho......

Size is the main issue, but I prefer HTC's Sense over Moto's Blur, too.

I, too was swayed by sheer size. Side by side, Sense is way easier to use and just "prettier" than Moto Blur. And not for nothing, the Incredible seems to be a little more... "customizable" if you are willing to root.

Sense UI and Size

The size was my initial reaction when choosing the incredible over the x. I just didn't like the way it fit in my hand, given I don't have huge hands.

I read about the differences and the Sense UI peeked my interest, but I had no idea about how I would actually like it. I love the Sense UI now. After trying my dad's Ally with stock Android UI, I knew I had the better UI for what I needed. I like the widgets and the way the UI works compared to the stock UI.

I always thought what it would be like to have the HDMI output, but I jsut don't see myself using it, plus if I needed to, I can upload the vids to my computer and play it on my TV another way. I think that would be the only plus to having the X, an easy HDMI output.

Another vote for Incredible. I prefer the Sense to Blur and although I liked the size of the X, it's personally an ugly phone. You're just going to have to use both and see which one you like better.

And the Inc remains undefeated in "Should I get an Incredible or ___" threads in the Incredible forums!

I only played with an X for a little while in the store. Try them both out and see what you think. Battery life may be better on the X.

I did and would still choose the Incredible just because of the size. I don't want to have a mini laptop, I just want something small and light that fits easily in my pocket.

I had the option of any phone in the store after my Droid 2 crapped out on me, bc it was the most expensive phone at the time, or tied for most expensive. I was torn between the Incredible and the Fascinate (that had just come out that day). Never considered the X because I had tons of problems with Motorolas. I like the Inc a lot, but I went with the Fascinate and it has been a dream. It's all a matter of preference though. Pick the one you think you like better and if it's within 30 days, pay $35 to switch for the other.

My opinion:

1. Find an Incredible cheap on Craigslist or eBay and purchase to save your upgrade for the new LTE devices that should be out by summer next year.

2. Get the Incredible a 1 year pricing so you can upgrade this time next year.

Overall get the Inc over X

-Play a HD high contrast YouTube movie side by side, like meteor impact earth,
the Incredible screen makes the Droid X look horrible.
-Navigate the apps screen, the Droid X is very lackluster in finish.
-Play with the clunky loose buttons on the Droid X and compare the feel
and response to the capacitive on the Incredible. Consider how the mechanical
life of those keys will be in the long run.
-Try opening apps and comparing keyboard response, use the Incredible
first then try the Droid X, let me know if it doesn't feel laggy by comparison.

I too had MANY problems with Moto. Still having them with my wife's droid2. My buddy has the X and lots of problems after the 2.2 update. I love the Dinc, and would never think to get anything else. The fascinate is nice, but still too big for me. The Dinc just has the right combinations of size, power, memory, customizations, and Sense UI. I'd go with Fascinate or Dinc, but since your choices are Dinc and X, it's a no brainer. Dinc.
