That's what I normally hear about the sound on the HTC One. But in my case I use my phone as my main camera and what I've seen and heard, the pics from the GS4 are better. Aaaahhh...decisions decisions :D

Well yea and no...

The s4 has a "slight" edge for pictures taken outside, BUT sometimes I find that you need to compare the pics side by side to see any real difference.

However, the One takes much better pictures when used indoors. That's because the One lets in around 300% more light than any other smartphone camera. Review after review have revealed that the s4 really struggles in low light areas. You can actually turn off the flash on the One and take decent indoor pictures, where as the s4 will just give you a solid black screen. Because of this the One also tends to take better indoor 1080P videos. I am usually indoors so I prefer the One. The One also has much better whites AND much better close ups (macro) in most pictures, probably because of its f/2/0 aperture. This lets in over 40% more light than the iPhones f/2.4 aperture. I have a Canon G10, which is an incredible camera, but like you I tend to use my smartphone (in this case, the One) more, simply because in this day and age most smartphone cameras take comparable pictures, plus it's much more convenient to use a smartphone, and my One has HDR and Zoe, which the G10 doesn't. While the s4 does have more megapixels, you'll find that professional photographers don't really pay attention to that hype, as many factors determine the accuracy of a picture. Megapixels these days tends to be more of a marketing tool.

Thanks for all that info, it's greatly appreciated.
About the pixels, yes, I know that, as a matter of fact, my Photon normally is set to take 5 megapixel pics instead of the 8 the phone is capable of.

You just made my decision a lot more difficult. :banghead: :D

One.

It's amazing but you have to be patient. It's very minor but there are some things that you have to do that takes 1-2 more steps compared to the S4 .

This is a concern of mine as I contemplate which phone to get next. I like to move around my phone quickly and don't think I will easily adjust to the One's extra clicks needed here and there. But of course the potential of lag on the S4 might turn me off for the same reason. So confused!

If this is in reference to toggles, etc. There are apps for now that provide these, and 4.2.2 on the way which has them by default. The statement, "but there are some things that you have to do that takes 1-2 more steps compared to the S4" actually goes both ways as well. This is an argument from the iOS v Android debate as well. It's just different, some things are better, some or not.

Can someone please explain how these work? Assuming I'm out and about for the day and my battery is nearing empty, how do these devices come into play? Thanks!

They're a battery inside an external case that you can use to charge the battery of your phone while it's on. You'd plug this into your phone via the micro-usb port and it'd draw a charge off of the Anker.

Are you talking about toggles that switch bw settings or bw open apps?

Thanks!

I keep hearing about these mysterious extra clicks, but no one has yet to document any of them. I think it has more to do with how a phone is set up and customized. It also makes me wonder how lazy are people getting these days. As far as lag, yes I'v seen it and it's very frustrating. Had a computer like that once. Finally got rid of it. No more lag....

You plug your phone into a battery pack, and it charges as if it's plugged into an outlet.

Oops, looks like you answered it first! :p

I finally made my mind and got a GS4 yesterday. So far no lag and no regrets!
I even have LTE on more places compared to the WiMax on my Photon 4G!
