I hook my S7 phone up to my computer and a can not down load any pictures.
My S4 worked not this one. It does not even open up. Thanks Steve

Hi and welcome. What computer OS are you using. Have you tried swipe down from the top when the phone is connected and change the connection type. It may be on just charging. Can't remember exactly but look for MTP mode. Also have you tried different cables and a different USB port.

Also, you may have to check your phone screen to see if it is asking you for permission to let the computer access the phone.

Your phone cannot be locked when you hook it up to the computer to access your stuff. It can lock afterwards with no problems, just when hooking it up make sure you unlock it first. then after you hook it up, do a pull down on notification screen to set USB as MTP.
