I hope this is ICS for the Xoom.

I got that email this afternoon and I qualified for the group. I hope it's ICS!

Looks like those of us that didn't get the email are left in the cold, still waiting for the Galaxy Nexus.

I think so. Mine is 4G, has had the upgrade, and has never been unlocked or rooted, and I qualified to be part of the test group. Of course if I am chosen from the people who meet the criteria, I can't say anything about what it is, but I am excited.

My business partner is in a group that gets beta releases from Motorola. We gory our Xoom's on release day, and he worked with an engineer on the support forum to resolve an issue with Godaddy email. Every since then they email him and ask him to participate in betas.

They emailed him about a week ago and asked if he was interested, and he said yes. He guessed (as did I) that it was ICS. Yesterday Motorola emailed him and said that "despite rampant rumors of the contrary, the beta we're going to release to you tomorrow afternoon is NOT Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0). It is a Honeycomb build that cleans a lot of things up system wide".

it's a bad omen for 4G users that they feel the need to fix issues on a version of the OS that should be on its last leg :(

Is the ICS delay for the wifi just a marketing tactic for the nexus? I thought ICS was built to be cross platform from the get go.
