I'm on a Rooted Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Sprint model with Lolipop version 5.

So I went into Recover Mode & selected the wipe cache option, after spending several hours reading older posts here about how this is a good thing & is just spring cleaning & will do no harm to your phone & might even speed up your phone.

I selected it & then I selected reboot & then promptly got an error message on the dead droid icon & then this message :

"Process system isn't responding
do you want to close it?"

THEN I get several more pop ups
unfortunately, MTP app stopped

unfortunately, Media Storage has stopped

unfortunately, Settings has stopped

unfortunately, Security log agent stopped

unfortunately, Touchwiz home has stopped

unfortunately, Google play services has stopped

I get those messages over & over again, can't log in at all.
How screwed am I?
How can I fix it without doing a factory reset again?

EDIT

in the recovery meni i have these options now

reboot system now
apply update from adb
apply update from external storage
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
apply update from cache

at the bottom is

# manual mode #
-- appling multi-csc..
applied the csc-code: spr
Successfully applied multi-csc.
What do I do?

Welcome to Android Central!

You can try using ODIN to flash a stock ROM over your current ROM. It should keep all your data and replace any corrupted files with the correct files. I have linked a stock factory tar file below. Follow the directions and it should flash the ROM over your current ROM and the personal data should stay intact. Make sure that you are on the same firmware that the OP is talking about. OC5 is what I believe this is for. After this you may need to re root the phone because I don't think this tar is rooted.

Mine does the exact same thing. I have reflashed the factory rom twice. I just restore the phone. Annoying, very much so. I'm on Tmobile.

If you have safestrap installed you use safestrap recovery to clear cache not stock recovery
If not if you are rooted there are apps that will clear cache without even going to recovery.
