While I read yours and took it into account.it doesn't necessarily mean that's when Sprint will be releasing as well, maybe they are releasing earlier.

And with other dates being talked about from Sprint reps (who are usually clueless) it just shows that nothing is for sure yet. wirelfy may be right but has just as good a chance to being wrong.

LOL... all the clues so far points to May 18th. Plus Sprint released the OG EVO 4G and EVO 3D on a Friday, so May 18th seems more real than the other dates.

I pre-ordered too. I think the biggest clue about the release date is that pre-ordering ends May 17. It seems to imply that May 18 will be regular ordering.

u just gotta talk to the right person to get ur upgrade moved up. ask for a manager and complain about ur current phone or service. before the evo, i had a blackberry and it couldn't charge anymore and the moved up my upgrade so i could get the evo

I just told my Sprint guy (friend manages a corporate Internet and cell company but takes care of his friends and he likes the commission ) to order mine. Big upgrade ftom my Epic (S1). Plus gps that actually works will be nice!

ok- so I checked my order status after I ordered this morning and saw the May 15th shipping message, but I just rechecked, and the status switched to this one:
