I just want a new phone

I am on verizon, have an old raz3 . I want phone , wifi, able to get on net to my local grain markets ( I farm) and weather, I think a droid is the way to go but which one?

Will only be downloading a few widgets.

If you don't need anything over-powerful, the Original Droid is a great phone still. It's priced fairly well and the software is still being updated by Motorola and Verizon. You can go with a more low-end device, but I think it'd be better to just spend the extra $50 and get a Droid considering they all need the same data plan. A Droid X seems a little over-powered for what you're going to need it for though.

The original motorola Droid is definately a great device. Less problems then these newer devices that are out(Incredible, X). I honestly miss that device simply due to the fact that it didnt have many issues as these newer devices. Dont get me wrong, the newer ones are definately more powerful but as you can see in these forums, many ppl are having different types of issues.

Sticking with the original Droid should be an option for you. Overall, a great device.

As of right now the Droid X is currently having WiFi connectivity issues with going in and out of connecting. If WiFi is something that your looking to use frequently then I'd honestly hold off of the X till they fix the problem. For me personally, its a big problem because Im constantly on WiFi. My WiFi actually seems WORSE post update Unfortunately, todays the day I return my X to either get my money back or try a replacement.
