How awesome the camera is on the bolt!! I came from a Droid 2 (Droid 1 before that) and I absolutely HATED how long it would take for you to view a picture you just took... it was actually kind of embarrassing "Hold on... any second now we can see it.... almost there... just another second" as everyone patiently waited around to see the pic you just took! LOL

Anyways this camera is super fast, loads right up to take another pic or views it almost instantly. Plus the photo quality is AMAZING!! I just posted a pic under the thread to post pics you just took and some of them are sooo good! You'd never believe they were taken from a PHONE!

yeah even better than the quality is the speed to take pictures and then view or take another one. It would take almost a minute on my og droid to the point where I never used the camera it was just sad and made me hate the phone. It's awesome on here ,just wish it had a camera button

Right!! It just got annoying!!! I also wish there was a camera button... but I guess we will get used to it, right?

Does anyone know if there is a way to change the picture "quality". IOW, get the max byte size of the final image on disk. Most cameras call this Fine, SuperFine, etc. Not the same as choosing the size.

I noticed that my pics when set to highest resolution are only ~1.5MB on disk. That seems too small for an 8mp camera.

TIA...

I had the Droid X, which has a dedicated camera button. For what it's worth, I prefer the onscreen button. Not saying anyone is right or wrong (it's all personal preference) Just my $.02

Wish they had an option when sharing your picture to specify the size like on the iPhone.

I didn't like that the camera button the Droid X, took a few seconds of holding it down to get into the camera application.

I also miss the "share" option when you are on the picture. I don't like having to go to the gallery, clicking share, then selecting which photo. I'm probably just being picky now LOL

Umm...is there no anti-shake option like on my old Fascinate? Cause...that kinda sucks, LOL.

I don't think you need an anti-shake! I swear you can be in mid shake and it takes a crisp clear picture!

Do you mean right after you take the photo, while it's previewing? Because you can do it from there as well - 3rd icon down during the preview brings up the "Share via" menu.

If you're in the gallery already and wanting to share just one specific photo, tap it once to select (so it's the only one on the screen) then tap it a second time to bring up more options, one of them being "share". :)

umm there is a Share option on the TB...right after u take a pic it has a menu come up. u have 3-5 sec and u can delete it, edit it, or share it ( looks like 2 arrows splitting away from each other. when u press this u can upload it to FB, picasa, send it as an SMS or email.

edit: looks like Rem got that covered already, good job.
