I keep opening the navbar drawer when I hit space

The location of the Color Nook navbar drawer is frustrating me. I'm often opening it when I hit the space on the keyboard - or rather, when I just miss the space on the keyboard.

Is there any way to deal with this? Can I move the navbar drawer and even the whole status line to the top of the screen?

If you run CM7 you can. Under Settings->CM7 Settings->Tablet Tweaks

Thank you! I installed CM7. It resolved this problem and several other problems I was having with my rooted Nook as well. And it's absolutely beautiful
