Please help! I have been on the phone with Verizon and Samsung but no one seems to be able to help.
Two days ago my husband left his phone on a job site. He wasn't able to get back to it till today. So, thinking I was doing the wise thing, I used my computer and Google to LOCK his phone. I had to create a password for him to be able to unlock it. It's not working! He's tried multiple times and now if he tries again, the phone will be erased.
I've been trying to find an answer for 2 hours. There are no directions on how to unlock it once it's been locked in this fashion. He doesn't have his phone set up with any kind of security lock screen, I'm just trying to unlock it with the password I used to lock it when he didn't have it for two days.
Verizon said Samsung was the only one that could unlock it and Samsung says they can't. On the same Google Android Device Manager site that allowed me to lock it, there is NO option to UNlock it...only erase it
He can receive calls but can't make them except to MY cell number. I had to enter a phone number during the process of locking the phone so I entered mine. All of the Google hits lead to either locking the phone (it's already locked), reach out to carrier (I did), ring the phone (no need) or consider erasing the phone
Thanks!
