I loled - Why iPhone is better than the HTC One

Doubt that actually happened sorry also between iPhone models they are NOT the same thing.

Really?

When I bought the HTC One I had a desire to own bleeding edge and anticipated a combination of unique software and improved hardware.

Apple constantly drives home the lack of OS fragmentation amongst their user base - all of their machines upgrading in lockstep like a military parade.

Knowing his phone is compatible w/iOS7, it's not such a leap t think a reasonable person could say 'why spend $100'.

Whatever dude. And personally I don't care if you believe it or not. There were a bunch of other stuff said too but I just repeated the most important parts.

And yeah, they are pretty much the same thing. I think the guy just didn't want to pay 100 bucks for pretty much the same thing. Kinda like buying a new PC that's exactly the same as last years model but in....blue. Sorry. You mad Bro?

Um I'm not buying the same thing. So people that bought the S4 bought the same phone as last year?

So did I with the 5S. And I did get unique hardware and software with the 5S.

I hate when what I wrote and what I meant aren't identical.

Yes. You and I may buy hardware thinking $100 is a fine deal for a unique experience. That doesn't mean everybody else does. I have friends who don't want to switch from Feature Phone to Smartphone. Absolutely zero appeal for them. When they finally do get a Smartphone, that too may be used for a portion of the next century - a unique hardware and software experience is not worth $100 (to them).

i would't have recommended a friend to update to the S4 if he was using the S3.

I agree with this. The only real upgrade is a faster proc and a slightly larger screen. Still a great phone but not worth an upgrade from an S3. To me, they are pretty much the same.

The only difference to me between the 5, 5s, and 5c is the color option on the 5c. Sure, each has incremental upgrades to them internally but nothing sufficient enough for anyone to upgrade unless they just want to say...I have the best iphone model!

Finger print upgrade is a wash. It's just a tool for the NSA to get everyone on file. Besides, just like most of the features of the S4...it's a gimmick. I'll hate to stand behind a guy who's finger print reader stops working when he really needs to use his phone.

Look how quickly finger print opens the device. The NSA also knows everything about you so what can they do with a bunch of random numbers that represent your fingerprint. The M7 is very good and has tonnes of potential. Plus the camera improvements and I've upgraded from the Nexus 4 to the iPhone 5S. Maybe next year Nexus 4 2014 edition.

I like the finger print reader from what I've seen of the 5s at work, if it doesn't work you just punch in your code anyways. Rather have that than the facial recognition I had on my galaxy nexus.

Don't get the hype about unlocking your phone with you fingerprint I had that on my atrix its nothing new

Sent from my Nexus 4

I bought the 5S 64GB today. Why? Finger Print Scanner. LOL I never hear of it before, didn't know Motorola ATRIX had it and I hate typing Passwords especially on a Super Phones BUT it's WAY TOO EARLY knowing that there's no support from third party. Honestly, I don't even lock my One.

I'm not going to lie, the iPhone is really comfortable to use and forgot how amazing it feels but that's where it all ends.

iOS 7 IMO is still bland & boring in a brightly colourful way. The minute after I started using I was already looking for the Back Button. LOL Honestly, the only saving grace is Control Centre . I keep saying I would consider going back if Apple releases the iPhone in 4.7"+ but after today I don't think I will ever go back until Apple makes some REAL CHANGES to the OS.

One thing I love about the iPhone is I can play/use it for days/weeks and profit from it. This will pay off my LG G2 and probably $200, $300 towards the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. :)

So since I have joined these forums in April, that is your 6th or 7th phone? Counting you going back and forth with the HTC One.

I disagree strongly. IOS 7 has layer the groundwork for iOS awesomeness next year.

Layer the groundwork? It's layed.

Groundwork for iOS awesomeness? And what would that be? Another row of "flatter" icons? Wait...I know...the flatter icons, along with the background, will tilt when you move the phone around! Awsome! Another great innovation by the best innovative company in the world!!!

What I don't get is that people balked about the plastic S4 because it felt cheap compared to the iphone which is aluminum. Now that the iphone has plastic in the form of the iphone 5cheap, people are all going googley over it and literally drooling saliva on their chin. Is it because they look like skittles and they are hungry? Maybe they should sell the 5c in a colored paper wrapper. All in all, I'm just glad apple has decided to let people have an ounce of individuality for a change......
