Yeah, I'm not understanding what you are referring to. Can you give us a more detailed description of what you are talking about?

Re: Side bar lost on note 5

There was a sidebar on the Note 4 but that was removed in the Note 5.

Been a week since I purchased phones there was a small Arrow that would pull out a window in which you could place apps then phone updated and it's no longer there I know I'm not crazy I need that window back

Re: Side bar lost on note 5

There is the spen app that pulls up and you can add some apps, air command.

Re: Side bar lost on note 5

I've never had a sidebar on the Note 5. I've only seen complaints that the side bar was removed on the Note 5.

Re: Side bar lost on note 5

What old OS did you have? It came with Lollipop and still has Lollipop.

Re: Side bar lost on note 5

Could it possibly have been some feature of a 3rd party app?

Re: Side bar lost on note 5

I think he is in a wrong forum. He probably have S6 Edge.

Re: Side bar lost on note 5

Well he says he just got the Note 5 and had it. The multi window bar wasn't on the Note 5..

Just as the smart select (for texts), the ability to select various images and save them on a floating icon for sharing and the sidebar are also gone on the note 5. I had mine out of the box and none of those features are present anymore. It's a real shame as loads of people used them a lot on the note 4. Hopefully, Samsung will listen to its customers for a change and have those features back soon!

Reset phone still no sidebar

The note4 side bar was so convenient and Easily accessible. Made multitasking much faster for me. Its a shame the note5 doesnt offer this feature. I thought phones were supposed to get better? But seems like a down grade. Who cares about samsung pay. I didnt choose a phone based on the availability of paying at some run down gasstation, it was for the multitasking capabilities and accessibility. Im saddened by Samsung. My note4 broke, andboth replacement refurbished note4s had problems that the techs couldnt diagnose. So they upgraded (forced) to a note5. I just want my properly working note4 back

With all due respect, I find the access to multi-window much easier on the Note 5 than it was on the 3 and 4. It just got in my way on the previous note devices. I actually use it on my Note 5 due to how easy it is to access and use.

And one of the main reasons I got the Note 5 was for Samsung Pay - that and the better build quality.

I find the Note 5 to be a MASSIVE upgrade over the Note 4.
