I just bought mine, and switched to the evil "Big Red" because Sprint refused to move up my upgrade date by two damn weeks. Anyway, I bought it, murdered the battery, then plugged it in for 8 hours. (Overkill? Yes) Anyway, today I unplugged it at 0830, and at 1355 it still has 65% of the battery and I've been plugged in, listening to music for 3hrs straight. I'm using like I did with my Evo4G WITH an extended battery. I don't have an extended battery on this one...yet, but so far it seems pretty good considering how big the screen is. Would I try 4hrs of Angry Birds on it?; only if I was tethered to an outlet... It's still better than a stock Evo, so I'm not going to complain.
However, the handoff from 4G to 3G has still not been resolved, so I'm stuck with a 3G phone until I get a RELIABLE 4G signal in my area. Verizon maps show LTE covering my area, including 4 miles N,S,W, and E....I call B.S. on that. And besides Sprint being d!cks about my upgrade (It's not my fault a Leopard lunged across the moat trying to eat me which made me react by throwing my Evo4G at it while screaming like a girl) that was ate by a zoo animal! (Factoid: Leopards can jump like 5-million feet while being filmed on a cellphone and like extended Lithium Ion batteries apparently) Anyway, I needed a phone, bought this one, and like it...even though I'm running it in CDMA mode for the next 2 years unless I move.
