You can turn debugging off by going to settings>applications>development but you need it on if your going to use anything that needs su permissions and to be able to use sdk.

Ok. If u can disable it why does some root kits come with debugging enabled. I guess I'm confused on this debugging issue. I am unabled to see one of my apps that I bought before rooting and now after rooting I am unable to see the paid app. This guy told me that if debugging is enabled it will prevent u from seeing protected apps. Is this true

I could be completely wrong, but debugging shouldn't hurt/effect anything showing/not showing. If it comes enabled then that means you don't have to turn it on.There is nothing bad about debugging its actually pretty helpful. They only app effected by debugging is Superuser permissions and it need debugging on(selected to allow you to give permission).
It can sometimes take awhile for protected(paid)apps to show.
Which rom are you running?

Does this Sound right. This is what the guy wrote.

Which ROM are you running? The debug ROM you used to root does not show protected apps in the Market. You should update back to the stock rooted ROM or one of the custom ROMs.

I think he just ment that rom is one that you can't see protected apps on.Sounds like you just need to switch to a rom that will allow protected apps to show.If it were me (i) would switch to the rom in the link it will be just like stock, but better.gbhil and keith are doin a great job.

Hey thanks a lot man for your help. What is busybox?

My brains kind of fried so don't know the best way to tell you about it.lol
Its one of those things you will need, trust me its a goodthing to have installed for you(a lot less headache then doing yourself). If you get stuck or need some help just post i should be around for awhile.

Hey thanks a lot man for your help. What is busybox?

I am new to the Android world, but in my Linux experience Busybox is just some of the core Linux command line tools. Since Android is built with the expectation that it will not be used in GUI mode (and to prevent people from breaking their phones) these things are not included. I haven't messed around enough to know what exactly is in the system by default, or comes with busybox, but it is probably utilities like move, copy, rename, check system utilization (think Windows task mgr), change permissions, etc.

Hopefully someone can answer if this is correct, because I'm kinda curious myself.
