Okay, so you can boot into fastboot. Great, now run the ruu and return your evo if we cant fix it lol

Although accepting the latest ota once you're on 2.1 might fix your usb issue. Its worked for others.

I was gunna say buy insurance and then go run it over. Then tell them you need a new one and to replace it.

I just got a new one like a month ago because i dropped my other one hahahaha

just completed the ruu...lets see what happens

ok i'm stock 2.2 now...let's see if i can reroot and go back to 2.1

EDIT: it's obviously still messed up because after it loads it'll stay up for a couple mins then reboot itself and the driver still won't recognize

Yeah it definitely sounds like you have more than software issues going on. Something in the hardware went bad.

Stick with evo. Good luck getting help like this with the epic. Not as many dev type people over there.

good call...evo it is...

I just dropped the phone off at the repair center...the first thing the guy did was check the software on it to make sure it wasn't hacked or anything...good thing i was able to unroot it and get the stock 2.2 back on it

Well, I'm without a phone until tomorrow...they have to order me a new one lol...

He took a look at the phone and said that the charging port was messed up and it was probably the result of plugging it up wrong...so, he plugged it up to the usb he had and it didn't register so he said that shows that it is broken...what he doesn't know is that if you turn the phone off and plug it up, it charges lol

He said the rebooting of the phone is a common problem they see in the Evo ever since 2.2 came out and since he can't plug my phone up he can't do anything with it...so he ordered me a brand new one that will be here tomorrow and it doesn't cost me anything ...

looks like all the work i did on it yesterday payed off...if it was rooted with a custom ROM or is he was able to plug it up and mess with it he could've probably seen that was all done and I would've been S.O.L.

Hey, I saw a thread from a while back where you had a problem having the phone read your SD card. I'm having the same issue. No card/s are acknowledged by the EVO. What did you do to resolve it? I've been on this for 5 days now reading, downloading, deleting, etc.... Tried a new card (it's not recognized either), reformatted the old card several times, to no avail. I can't flash anything as my card is not seen by the phone. "sd card removed" comes up whenever I reboot the phone. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

The USB issue could of been corrected in Terminal Emulator if you ever got it to work...

All the issues you spoke about I went thru tryin got flash ENG-HBOOT Back in the day
