I need some honest opinions.

Sorry but the M9 sales will be no where near the S6. Even if Samsung did sell 10 million the first month. HTC will be very lucky to sell that many M9 the whole year. They've never been in a position to be in Samsung's ballpark even if they had a great product.

I was referring to meeting expectations and projected sales figures.

The hypocrisy is strong. Claims "unfounded biased opinions" then says S6 will sell worse than the M9 and at buy one get one free. Laughable. That article has no substance, which you are well aware of. You're getting upset over a smartphone.

It is in reference to projections. For you Samsung diehards, it was laughable when HTC started it's decline. Now face the facts, Samsung is declining. It was only a matter of time those mid tier manufacturers started to hurt it. Nobody wants to pay premium prices for the mediocre products Samsung is now putting out.

Alright well I have read all of your guys opinions as I type this I am typing on the m9 I am actually loving it. I think the screen is great it has a cooler temperature it is just as bright as a the m8 I work at Best Buy so we have demo units of the M 8 & M 9 and yes they're very similar in many ways. but then nothing is better in camera then the M 8 you just have to do adjustments and tweet the camera to your liking. battery life has been pretty good so far even though it's only 3 days in went to work at six in the morning unplug my phone at 4 in the morning and right now I'm seeing 11 hours and I have 47 percent left. for the third day that's pretty good. it will only get better as time goes on. I'm still getting used to some of the features of sense 7 and a bigger phone then the m7. I will admit that it is a bigger upgrade from the m7 to the m9. But thank you for all your opinions.

I don't care if Samsung decline. I'm not a shareholder. What makes you think I'm a Samsung diehard?

I'm glad you are loving your M9. Most people that get it do. I'm having a similar experience. Coming from a Nexus I am accustomed to a cooler screen and battery life has been great for me. The phone is fast and smooth. What HTC is doing with Sense is sweet. Despite what the drive by's say, it is a great product. As I said before, the highest majority of consumers keep their phone two years or longer. The carriers have long kept their customers on a two year upgrade cycle, so anyone moving up from a two year old phone or older should be pleased with this phone.

The update i speak of is already out and still needs to make it's rounds. You are entitled to your opinions, but that us all you state, unfounded biased opinions. The M9 sales are doing fine in comparison to S6 sales at this point because sales for the S6 all falling way short. I predict you will see the typical buy one get one free soon. Maybe that same competition you speak of is killing your dear S6.

Forbes has a history of not being objective with smartphones. They worship the Cupertino as if Jesus was there.

As a current S6 owner that is not a fanboy, it not a mediocre device. That being said, I'm also a former HTC owner (D Inc and Droid DNA) and I think, the M9 is a very good phone, but not enough of an improvement from the M8. OiS is mandatory and I'd like to see a 2K display next go around.

I have the T-Mobile version. Phone is great. Will locking it to LTE really help battery life?

I am not talking about just software updates from Google. I am talking about hardware as well. The N6 doesn't even have true multitasking or an LED notification light. That's pretty weak for a 6" screen. It doesn't have an SD slot so you can't expand memory which future proofs. It also doesn't have a removeable battery which many consider future proof since batteries go downhill after 2 years. The camera in the Note Series is always an industry standard. Besides Google has come out and only guaranteed updated for 2 years so even that isn't that great either. So what are you left with?
