I unlocked and rooted (kept stock ROM though) an Atrix HD 4.1.1 to use on Simple Mobile. Everything is working as planned (10+ Mbps consistently) but my issue is I cant seem to use any other frequency. The 4G is killing my battery super quick. Anybody else come across this? I like having 4G when i need it, but otherwise I'd actually prefer to keep it on 2G. Calls, texts, Words with Friends, all work just fine at that speed for me. Even when i choose different network operators from the 'mobile network settings' menu, i still only get 4G.
Any thoughts?

*UPDATE* never mind...after searching around online for several hours, i found and downloaded the Phone_Info.apk and from there i was able to switch to 2G. I cant believe how many people I found on dozens of different forums asking basically the same thing. Seems like a lot of newer phones and Jellybean have taken away this option. I guess the carriers wants people hogging up the network so they can charge more.
Any thoughts?
