I orderd my Droid x!! but...

So I ordered my Droid X the other day, coming from Droid 1, which I love.. Since I am now upgrading, I want to to put a protective skin on it. Does anyone know will it fit into the dock once the skin is on?

I want protection but still want to use the docking station too along with the car mount. Kinda sucks, what I've been seeing so far, cant have both worlds with protection..

Yes it will still fit. I have a skin from phantom skinz (which is great) and the car dock and its tight, but it fits.

I know InvisibleShield fits in the desk dock, and other skins should too. There is a plastic tab in the car dock that mangles one spot on the back (of the skin, not the phone)

If you mean a silicone soft case, no. As far as I've seen, the Rocketfish case from best buy is the only one that fits in the car dock, and you need to modify the dock a bit to make that happen.

i have an ebay knock-off of the BB rocketfish....virtually the same cover, and i have modified the car dock to makle it fit. all u have to do is take an exacto knife to a tiny tab on the car dock and thats it. but thats only bc the car dock has that removable insert. so it will not work with a desk dock. but that what an ezestand is for

Cool, I wanted to get a good skin for it. And want this cell to last me.

But dig the docking station and car dock too.

Any recommendations on skins? invisible shield, zagg etc?
