I rage deleted system -- how do I reinstall it?

After getting the error loop, "Unfortunately, HTC Sense has stopped" I rage deleted the system to teach my rooted HTC One (M8) Harman Kardon Edition a lesson.

I can't say I regret the decision -- it was pissing me off -- but this is uncharted territory for me.

How do I reinstall the system? What's next?

Download HTC Sync Manager and the RUU for your device. After that, reinstall the OS - ROM Downloads for your HTC smartphone - Support | HTC United States

Mind the warning:

WARNING: If your Bootloader or device software has been modified, you may run the risk of damaging your device by installing the RUU.

But way I see it, you're pooched anyway unless you try it, sooo..
