So, our family is currently on Xfinity Mobile. I really want to buy a 3, but I am not sure i will be able to use it on XM. Any thoughts?

It will work on any carrier. Slap in SIM and go. Xfinity Mobile is basically just Verizon.

I guess it throws me off that the Pixels are mostly sold on Verizon.

They are only sold on Verizon but can be used on any carrier. Such as some buy from Google since they don't use Verizon and they can take that phone over to AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, Metro, etc. etc.

Xfinity Mobile is basically Verizon so if it works on Verizon (it does) it will work on XM :).

Still it would be best to check with Xfinity I think they only let select phones on their network.

Xfinity's BYOB seems to be tied to Verizon. I don't have a SIM to test this, but there's no reason of which I'm aware for which this wouldn't work.

I promise it will work. Verizon is the same if you deal with them separate or direct. They won't "activate" certain phones on the network, but, if you have an active SIM already you slap it into a phone and it will work.

No doubts about it. If I had doubts I wouldn't offer said advice. If it makes you feel better go ask on Reddit @ /r/verizon (where I mod as well) to talk w/ employees. I bet they will say the same :).

@Almeuit I ordered a Pixel 2 XL from Amazon to try. Have you had any experience yourself at this?

With what? Using Xfinity Mobile? Technically no but I have used Verizon for almost 2 years now but always been into the carrier stuff. In the past Verizon used to not allow certain phones to be "activated" (new lines and such) but people could easily slap in their already active SIM and it worked without a hiccup. Since Xfinity = Verizon I am pretty sure (like 99%) it will be the same.

Xfinity mobile only works with iPhone for "bring your own phone", otherwise you need to buy your phone through them and they don't sell Pixel phones. See here. I was also interested in this and called to confirm that they don't support android. They're supposedly working on bringing Android to their service, but there's no telling when this will happen.

They support Android. They sell them. The pixel will work fine. Just put your sim card in it and go along your day. You'll have no issue.

That's odd, I do not see it on their devices page located here. Do you have a Pixel on Xfinity Mobile?

My brother is using a pixel 2xl now on Xfinity mobile. Has no issues. You have to already have a active sim first to use. They won't activate it on a new line. If you already have a sim though just transfer the sim over to the pixel. Visual voicemail won't work but data and calls work just fine.

Don't believe us do a Google search. You'll see many others who have a pixel 2 working fine on Xfinity.

Got my 2XL today and everything works. When I leave WiFi, it shows connected to Verizon Wireless. But calls, texts, and VVM work. I'm still nervous. Gonna take some time to get used to the on-screen buttons being reversed from my S9. And this phone is bigger, so I'm adjusting to that.
