I recently started having a problem connecting to my local newspaper server

I have a Samsung Galaxy S8 tablet. I was able to connect with the local newspaper using my account. Last week I started getting the message:"missing database ". I tried a number of things like deleting the app, reconnecting to my network, etc. I did get a message stating: "my account. Tampabay.com connection failed. Error code 8: the proxy failed to connect to the Web server due to TCP connection rejection (TCP reset)
The message also included details stating: your IP (xxx) proxy IP (xxx) Origin Server IP X.X.X 247
The IP's listed are not my IPs. I can connect to the newspapar on other devices. Can you help?

Welcome to Android Central! First, do you mean an S8 phone, or is this a Galaxy Tab S6?

Are you able to connect to the newspaper's website on the browser? Have you contacted the app developer or the newspaper about this? It sounds like a problem on their server end.
