I rooted my Droid Incredible today...

HAPPY DANCE!!!!!! I got rooted this morning and got unrevoked installed!! Sorry had to brag, so happy right now.

so i'm not sure where i went wrong... i got to the "...no such file or directory" and am following the steps in the vid exactly, but when "1.bat" part, nothing is being pushed to the phone. my screen shows "<0 bytes in X seconts>" for all of the files.

what am i doing wrong?

im getting the same thing.
did adb devices... getting:
List of devices attached
HT048hjxxxxx0 recovery

any thoughts? followed the instructions as per video and Root process, my regurgitation of it, with Perm Part added. (btw im using win xp)

That means the files pushed unless it actually says "0 bytes"........you guys really should read the directions, then read through them again until you fully understand not only the steps but exactly what's going on with the process so you don't end up doing something bad to your phone. Granted it's pretty rare (only 1 person I have heard of) that a phone bricks but still.

If it says 0 bytes you have type he directories or file names incorrectly. Remember linux, that all this is built on, is case sensitive.

well i made sure the paths were correct...and file names typed correctly...
i also tried using 1.bat .. getting the same 0 bytes in 4555555.000 s
ive read the directions and i keep reading them to find if i missed something.

Not sure what to tell ya on that one, it should read something like, "2048 bytes in 20.9987 s". If it says 0 it's not transferring for some reason. Have you tried reinstalling a different set of drivers for your phone? Also when are you pushing the files? You have to do it in the exact order listed here or it won't work.

I was able to root and have the super user icon but there is no new reboot screen, nor is there any change in wifi access. Also, SU only has a preference icon that has "Tap action" and Notification. Did I miss something? Was there supposed to be more than this?
