So, I rooted my phone with that Revolutionary method, but now I'm not sure what I should do now. I don't know how to install ROMs and kernels (or what they even are), I don't know how to remove "bloatware", etc. I'd like to give CM7 a go, as it seems fairly popular, but I don't know how to actually install it, or anything like that. Does installing CM7 wipe my apps/ data? Or do they all just show up in it, just fine?
Also, I've heard rooting can help extend battery life. What, exactly, has to be installed/ set up/ etc. in order to help the battery life last longer than it would on stock, non-rooted?
Lastly, I asked this in another topic, but no one responded; is there any app or anything that can make headphones with controls designed for the iPhone (+, -, and middle buttons) work on this phone? I know it can't really be done when stock, due to that being an Apple proprietary thing, or whatever, but is there any way to get it working when rooted?
Thanks for any tips and guidance. Still very inexperienced with this whole "rooting" thing, and I feel almost overwhelmed by everything that's out there, so I don't even know where to start. @_@
