I started using an SD-card and now i cant save photos from Messenger

[Android Central Question]

After inserting the SD-card, i moved my photos from my phone onto the card. Amongst all the other weird things that happened (it freed up a lot of space but every picture is doubled in my gallery) i cant see new photos saved from Messenger. When i try to download it, teh app says "Saved!" but it's nowhere to be seen.

Welcome to Android Central! Which gallery app are you using? If it's Google Photo, it might be displaying duplicates because it's showing you the copy that's saved in your Google Photos cloud as well as the copy that's on the SD, since Google Photos might consider the new copy of it on the SD as a separate photo.

Are you talking about Facebook Messenger? Is there a setting in that app to choose where to save media?
