Totally not software related though but idk, havent had any software issue with any phone for like the past half year.

Every time I hook the phone up to the charger it starts this infinite loop of the LG logo + capacitive buttons flashing over and over.

currently on CM7 IHO. I feel asleep while my phone was tethering so maybe it was the cause?

So you're saying when you plug it in, the LG logo comes up and doesn't go away? Have you tried reflashing the ROM?

Nope

I haven't even bootlooped the phone once, going to try emergency mode. The phone booted up with 1% battery but it shut right off. I think the battery needs charging but can't since you cant turn off the phone with cm7.

I would so be in recovery if I could. I really wish it was a simple fix. I let it sit in emergency mode while for about 30 minutes but no dice.

:(

Anyone know any IRC where the devs hang out at???

Idk if there's a way to charge your battery if you don't have enough juice to boot up. They are working on a fix so that you can charge while sleep. Try to ask the people in this thread

that sucks. I guess take it to a sprint store and charge the battery in a test phone so when you put it back in yours it can boot to the OS and continue charging. thats a simple solution.

well, thats what i did once :)

Strange problem... Makes me wonder if your battery just crapped out on ya... I've drained my battery several times for calibration after flashing a new
rom and it just boots up when I plug in the charger. Maybe if a friend has an optimus you could try their battery or try charging yours in their phone

IHO Unofficial CM7. 2
BACKside IHO 12212011

I had this happen before. I had to charge my battery in another phone (my wife's) to. Get enough juice juice to boot with.

Those are valid but I was really hoping for a software fix.

Some way to reboot into recovery

well look at your options.

continue to search for software fix, have non working phone in the meantime.

or go charge the battery somewhere, have a working phone, and then continue search for a software fix while having a working phone.

the choice is pretty simple

damn why you have to be so point blank? :P I don't have a car so I'm going to a sprint store soon but not instantly right now.

Try taking out the battery, plugging it in to charge then putting the battery back in while on power. It may get you past that hump.
