I think there will be no Nexus 6 event

If there was to be an event on the 15th/16th, it would've been announced by now. Google already did the L event, there's no need to announce it again.

I think just like last year, the Nexus 6 will just show up on the website one day with a blog post and that'll be it.

Don't they usually announce the event a week before the event? If the reveal is indeed the 16th, then we should expect invites to go out on the 9th.

That's what happened last year, so that could be true.

Patiently waiting to see what Google will bring to the table. Too many selection of good phones out there now.

Yup, this is the last phone I waiting for to make a choice. Nexus 6 or Note 4.

So a number of people have said this. What would make you decide either way? For me the choice is simple - I'd rather have stock Android and regular updates, although it will be hard giving up sd card expansion. Also depends on whether Verizon gets it.

The camera being trash would send me to the Note.
To an extent, pricing.
Some other rumor being incorrect, such as the size. If it turns out to be 5.2, I probably wouldn't get it.

A event would be awesome, but I think it will just pop up as available on the Play Store. I myself can't wait for it to be available. For me nothing beats stock android

For me it is price. If the nexus is more then say $450 it will be a tough choice between that and the $300 AT&T note 4.

I just hope the camera is good.

Check out the RE Camera they just previewed on AC. The need for good cell phone cameras isn't as dire assuming you have a couple hundred bucks to spend on this handy little shooter.

I am waiting to see if I want to get the Droid Turbo or the Nexus 6. Leaning heavily towards the Nexus 6 though.

I think the majority of people want to just carry the one device (phone) so having a good camera on the phone is very important to a lot of people.... I think that is why we continue to see bigger and bigger devices each year.... Trying to find that balance between phone and tablet with a solid camera and all day battery life so you are just carrying the one device... No need to have a phone, tablet and a stand alone camera.......

The Nexus 5 was announced the day before it was launched, it will probably be the same for 6.

Exactly. I really wanted the next nexus, but I'll probably get the note 4 mainly due to the camera. Granted the SD storage, battery and s-pen are nice features too. I have the oneplus one, one of the few with a bamboo back, so I'm getting my stockish fix.

back in like JUNE I would have easily given Oneplus my money..... but all the contest put me off and eventually even when I could get an invite from someone (I've still never received one directly) I was so soured on their way of doing business I just decided to wait and see what the Note 4 was about and then the Nexus 6 rumors starts up at 5.9 and I went back into a holding pattern again.......

Freaking technology..... by the time I do my unboxing it will be out of date..........

Having a good camera is extremely important to myself. This RE Camera is very small though and more practical in some areas. I'm waiting to see the Nexus camera (assuming it's Verizon) before I even seriously think about it though.
