I thought Samsung dumped Samsung Messages for Google Messages

In my list of Apps, I still see Samsung Messages. Anyone else?

It is possible that if you transfered apps from you old phone it was brought over?

I have the unlocked model and I have both but Google was set to default. They did add a One UI look to it so are you sure you're not actually using Messages?

Its on mine as well, but since I restored could have came with it. But Google Messages was my default.

US unlocked S22 Ultra here, Google messages was set as default messaging app. Both Samsung and Google messages come pre installed may be just to give option for people who like Samsung messages and want to continue using that.
