I have searched high and low. My old G Note had a great S Note package. l use my 10.1 for note taking in my work and it is great for record keeping. l need to keeping records of client meetings for 7 years and beyond if Court subpoenaed. Now my notes are all in landscape because S Note has no portrait layout functionality. l have spent over $2500 on Samsung product over past few years and this retrograde step with S-Note is just not good enough. If you want loyalty and happy advocates fix this functionality and issue it out free of charge! And I am sure I am not alone in this request but your search engine would not bring up a thread maybe it is being suppressed. If there is a professional solution please let us know. If you dont fix 1 will go to Consumer Affairs On Twitter so lookout if you decide to continue to ignore your customers!!

Snote on the 10.1 2014 edition has portrait options. The templates even cater for both landscape and portrait.

Did you not originally save your snotes to dropbox, Evernote or your Samsung account. If so they may have an incorrect extension to import to the note 10.1 2014. There are several solutions for that. The XDA developers site is a good starting point.

Yup, as the others have said. I use snote on my 2014 note 10.1 in portrait all the time. I've even set my default template to be one of the portrait ones because I use it almost exclusively that way.

Have you tried using a rotation enforcer from the Google play store such as adaptive rotation lock, or rotation forcer?

Ha ha, really! Um no I just see the landscape page reduced in a portrait frame. I have even taken this to a Samsung Experience Store and they cannot tell me. I see some other suggestions so I will check them out! Thanks.

No I did not do any of what you have suggested but I had S note with my original Note tablet and didn't need to look for drop box or Evernote to change page layouts. Thank you, can you explain in more detail how to bring up a portrait template, would really appreciate step by step as I often go down wrong path! Cheers

In Snote tap the menu button (The one to the left of home key {in case you did not read the manufacturer's manual ; the home key is the button in the middle bottom below the screen}) to bring up this menu. From there select "use Screenshots_2015-04-20-06-28-32.jpgnew template"
