I want SC2.9.2 (EC10) again. WHAT TO DO?

I'm running completely stock ED01. No root or anything. I am not very happy with real froyo. Its full of terrible, horrible things, and even has more bugs than any of the stock ROMs I've tried. And I want to flash back to 2.9.2. How would I go about doing that? Would I flash DL09 and try flashing CWM and the ROM over that? What do you guys think?

flash cwm in odin
boot to cwm
wipe dalvk
wipe cache
flash sc2.9.2
flash kernel(if applicable)
reboot
or find the thread for the odin version of sc. I believe its by dxc. it contains everything you'll need.

btw, I do not suggest wiping data, may cause a endless bootloop. I've flashed and reflashed back and fourth on this ed01 about 3 times now. can't make up my mind, I like it but my flash video is choppy. so I'll stick with frankenclean until the community is out. is there an all in one guide for cooking custom roms and themes somewhere?

And it doesn't exactly have to be 2.9.2, it can even be one of the new ones that the devs will put out later on. I just need to know if I have to flash back at all, or is this version going to be one of the stable ones like DL09? Like, instead of flashing back to stock DL09 and then flashing to a froyo ROM, would we just flash it while we're on the ED01 stock?

Someone better informed than me will have the final say, but I dont think you need to go backwards at all, just ODIN one of DX's packages and your done

You are infact correct, You would follow the steps like in DX's threads. Be sure that you flash a package that wipes data first then flash the next one after. for instance just like going to 2.9.2 you would flash 2.9 first (which wipes data and all) then flash 2.9.2 It would not matter what build you are currently on as data is wiped.

Well, I just flashed 2.9.2 with the EC10 kernel over my stock ED01 and put a Gingerbread theme over it and there was never a data wipe. It doesn't seem to have any problems, though.. I figured the one without the wipe would be best for what I had. Whats wrong with not data wiping?

Sometimes with the no-wipe stuff you end up with a bunch of Force closes, but hey, if it works dont mess with it. If you do go through a bunch of FCs that might be the root of your problems

You're rarely in a case where you HAVE to wipe data, but if you don't and have problems, that's usually the cause. Cache partition and dalvik cache wipes should be sufficient for rom changes.

Well, I haven't wiped anything yet.. should I boot into recovery and and wipe cache partition and dalvik? Would it mess anything up with my current setup?

If there is no problems of what your running right now, don't bother. I'm in the habit of always wiping cache and dalvik when I flash different roms. If I forget to wipe cache and dalvik and if the rom i flashed is working, i don't bother to go back to wipe cache and dalvik.
