I want to clear "learned words" on my Galaxy S6 Edge PLus

So, the smarmy bugger isn't keyboard based. It's swype causing the issues. Cleared data from keyboard per everyone's suggestions, but then poked around:
Settings
-Language/Input
--Swype
---My Words: uncheck "import recent contacts"

That seems to have fixed it!
Will update if anything changes.

You can reset ALL Learned Words, even those that will not delete manually as follows:
(1) Install a new keyboard from Google Play (I used Hackers Keyboard but any should work)
(2) Set new keyboard as default.
(3) Reset Samsung keyboard data in Application Manager
(4) Set Samsung keyboard as default keyboard.
(5) All Learned Words reset!
I used this process on Tab4 but it should work on other devices.

Open any app like chrome or google and wait until the word/text shows up, hold on the text for 2 secs and remove from dictionary.

Clearing the data from the keyboard IS the solution. The trick is you have to disable the default setting to sync keyboard data off in your Samsung Account sync settings. Disable that, and clear your keyboard data, all done! Worked for me and hasn't come back!

I found mine under
SETTINGS
LANGUAGE & INPUT
SAMSUNG KEYBOARD
RESET SETTINGS
CLEAR PERSONALIZED DATA

I have a galaxy s6 edge.

I have an S6. This is how I did it. Alot of other forums werent working for me. but if you go into Settings.... scroll down to and select LANGUAGE AND INPUT. Then select SAMSUNG KEYBOARD under " Keyboard and input preferences". Then scroll all the way down to RESET SETTINGS under " Other Settings". and select CLEAR PERSONALIZED DATA. - Hope this helps

Whenever I write a text message, the predictive process always suggests learned words as I begin typing a word. In my case, it is suggesting every e-mail address that my gmail has ever received an e-mail from, that has been CC'd on an e-mail I have received, or that I have sent an e-mail to. It's crazy.

I am looking for a way to clear ALL learned words in one shot. I know I can do it one at a time when the learned word appears, but that will take forever. There should be a way to clear all of the learned words out of my Samsung S6 Edge plus.

Further, not all of the learned words even clear when I clear them individually.

Any help?

To remove all the learned words
1. From your device’s Settings, tap Language and input.
2. Tap Samsung keyboard.
3. Tap Reset settings.
4. Clear personalized data.

I have a similar problem on the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016). I tried resetting and clearing etc, etc. The contact emails come back within 24 hours. :(:-*

I agree that the only solution is to install the Google keyboard. It allows you to include or exclude contacts as suggestions.

I've been looking for this also and finally found it...

Settings > Language and Input > Samsung Keyboard > Reset Settings > Clear Personalized Data

annnddd they're gone!

I went into Samsung Account settings and turned off some of the syncing stuff that would perhaps be associated with e-mails and such (gmail, people, and social media accounts). Then I cleared the keyboard data. 24 hours later all the learned words are back. Every e-mail address in my gmail history and a bunch that are nowhere to be found in my gmail. Still.

And my gmail e-mails stopped showing up in the gmail app on my phone.

Maybe I did something wrong, but again I need specific help.

on my s7 if you hold in the learned word suggestion when it pops up it gives you the option to forget the word.. give it a try

Settings > Language and Input > Virtual keyboard > Samsuag keyboard > reset settings > clear personalized data

Any fix on this yet? Same thing happens to me and it's driving me insane!!

I tried out these steps and it's working so far.

1. Go to phone settings, followed by General Management, then select Language and input. Select Virtual keyboard, then Samsung Keyboard from the list of keyboards.
2. Tap “Predictive text” while turning off Auto Check Spelling.
3. Go to Messaging. When you type a word, some of the suggested words will appear at the bottom. Click the arrow to see the entire list. Hold the word until Remove bubble comes out. Click OK.

This may be tedious, but at least you get to erase the unwanted words that keep popping in your suggested box. Hope this helps. ;)
