I want to clear the cache of my metro pcs pro phone. It is a Z981 android phone.

I don’t quite see why you need to do that, but in any event, do you mean the app cache or the system cache?

But tell us first about the problem you're having with the Play Store. Are you getting error messages? Or is it just not letting you download Facebook Messenger? (I'm assuming you mean FB Messenger, since the stock Messaging app should be preinstalled.)
