Ice cream vs the fruit

iOS is smartphone 101; Fisher-Price! It would be the phone I would get my mom and dad, "Its just that easy."

Very true. I have an iphone4 now after being with android for a long time. iOS just plain and simple works. But it does lack a few things that android has. Which has been covered above. I can't wait to get back into android after experiencing iOS. iOS is simple and it works. ICS looks good and felt smooth on the nexus demo I played with. Far better than anything else I've experienced. Including honeycomb

My biggest difference......ive have my iphone 4s since launch and never have had a reset or reboot...... ive had this nexus for 12 hrs and already experienced reboot

I have an iPhone for work. Its aight...lol. If you want even half the functionality of stock android you'll need to jailbreak it then it becomes a whole new animal. Apple has it so locked down jailbreaking makes a pretty big difference ESP with the app springtomize 2.

I do like how everything always works....sure a hiccup here and there but nothing like android.

ITunes is still a miserable program and IMO is the main problem with the iPhone.

I think android surpassed ios since honeycomb and ICS is just that much better...

I think it's the most polished version of Android yet. I love it. I do gotta say though. Im starting to sour on the whole homescreen thing. Maybe it's me but i would love for all my apps to be on the the main pages like iOS. Rather than me having to enter the app launcher. Other than that. I prefer this over iOS5.

There is a setting that will place a shortcut on the desktop for the apps that you install.

Has anyone done a comparison of OS versions right out of the gate? For instance, what features come standard in iOS and Android, before the installation of Market/Appstore apps? That is a list I would love to see.

ICS is a big improvement to an O/S that on Par with IOS. However, I still wouldn't give it to my mother. ICS still is for people who understand how these things work. IOS is more intuitive. It's easier to use. That is why my Mom has one. I hated getting the call at all hours asking why her phone was doing this or where to find that.
IOS for those who don't want to "work" with the device, Android for everyone else. Windows? I'll wait.
