icloud calender sync help

Hi, just got my S8+ after 20 years of blackberry phones. Really enjoying the phone except for one thing ...... on my priv I could use caldav.icloud.com in blackberry calender and it would share our family calender. It was also editable.
How do I do that with Google Calender? I prefer to not use an app if possible. I researched so much on it that I'm confused. Please help with any working solution.

I tried like crazy to find a way to make use of my shared icloud calendars but was not successful. I found an app though that does the trick and put it into the calendar on my S8. It works great

I know you didn't want an app but it's the only way I was able to make it work

The bonus is it puts the data into the built in calendar on the phone
