Icons and Sound problems!

Hello everyone,

I have a new HTC EVO 3D, very happy with my new phone. Recently, I had have two technical issues with my phone.

1.- Every time I connect my cellphone and sync my cellphone with the HTC Sync software, all the shortcuts I created in any screen (if the software is located in the SD card), change from the original shortcut to a generic icon, leaving me no choice to delete and ad them again. Please, if you have any suggestion I'll really appreciate that. Thanks

2.- If I am listening music using my earphone with mic (I had try different brands, from generic to Blackberry brand) everything is working good, but if I want to hear music using my phone in my car or a boombox, using a auxiliary cable (male to male stereo music cable) or any earphone without mic, my phone behave like crazy, start any song randomly during 1 second and start another song and so on, also redial the last phone number I used and hang up 1 second later, like I said, it is totally crazy . So, please, if you have any suggestion let me know, I'll be really thankful.

For #1, this is a known issue. Simply change "scene" then change back and they will be there. Easier than removing and adding. Not sure on #2. I stream by BT for music in the car, haven't used a male to male yet

Excellent. Thanks a lot for #1, the problem is solved just like you said. Hopefully for #2 I'll be waiting for another answer to solve the problem.

This was something that was brought up when the EVO 4G was new. People had similar issues with the headset connectors they were using and different brands.

#1 happens because those programs have been moved to the SD card. Its gonna happen every time you turn your phone off then back on again. I hope they (HTC/sprint) realize this and fix it!

So what do you recommend? buy new earphones or audio cable from different brands? thanks a lot for your help!!

Some brands do perform better at the plug part. But i ended up using the plug less and less. I tried several different plugs for my truck and no matter what brand cord i tried they all eventually failed me.
