Icons on home screen don't save

That's weird but some icons added to home screen on moto g 2nd gen don't survive after reboot.

That is - they just disappear and I have to add them back.

Could not google even a single similar case. Anyone aware of why it happens and how to fix it?

I have heard it has to do with apps moved to the SD card? Also I have read that is an issue with the google now launcher(at least) and to use the stock launcher.

Oh, that's right, those apps are on SD card, hmmmmmm

Not sure I understand the second part about launcher though :-(

Just install some launcher that is not affected by issue. Like GO

My moto does the same thing only when I put the apps (that are on my SD card) in a folder in the home screen they vanish after a reboot, but if I put them on a different page they survive! Super, dI-duper annoying!!! Can't wait for lollipop to come out for my moto G. Hopefully this bug and many others will be fixed soon.
