ICS 246

speaking of touch screen responsiveness

im running .2233 and ive noticed that my screen bugs out when im typing and its charging. it starts randomly pressing buttons that I am not. my friend that has a D4 with ICS noticed the same issue. is anyone else experiencing this?

its really annoying....lets say im typing "hi"....it decides to type something else and then automatically sends the text and calls that person....SO annoying
I've seen that on the Bionic once or twice, but the phone that really did it on a fairly reliable basis was the Palm Pixi that one of the family members used to have. You had to charge it, unplug it, then touch the screen.

I'm kind of a noob, so I apologize if this is a dumb question, but I had previously rooted my bionic and installed a custom rom, but being as I want to get the OTA update, I followed this walk-through up to step 10. Everything seems to have gone as planned, and It looks like it's back at the factory state. When I try to do a system update, it tells me my phone is up to date. Do you guys think this is because I'm just not patient, or because of the way I restored it?

Thanks in advance!

Be patient. I believe soak test is still going on.

Okay. Thanks! I was thinking that the OTA update was available and that somehow I'd messed up my phone's upgrade path...

Since you feel comfortable enough to install custom roms, why not try House of Bionic and get the verified ota right now? :)

It is but so is the ota rollout. They're doing both at the same time.

Hahaha, I'm comfortable enough to follow detailed walk-throughs, so I don't know how much credit I deserve. So if there's one out there that will walk me through doing that, I'd probably try it.

The House of Bionic FAQ and the House of Bionic OP will guide you through it all. I've made it as painless and easy as possible.

Thanks! I'm reading through it now, and I think I'm going to give it a go. 'Preciate it!

He's made it as easy as he can. Follow his instructions and soon you'll be loving some 246 ice cream sandwich! :)

Does anyone know how, if it's even possible, to turn off the "Global Roaming" message that pops up when in a Verizon Extended area? We live in a Verizon Extended area and it can be quite annoying when it pops up every time we reboot, or whenever else it chooses to do so.

Thank you! :)

Thanks guys! I got it all installed and it runs great! No more hitting the "system updates" button like I have OCD.

God I love it when people can read directions and follow them. It makes me so happy. :D

now plug in some GOOD headphones, listen for whine BETWEEN songs and let me know if you hear it. It was a widespread issue on all bionics prior to the first update (issued in December IIRC).

Went and got a dock and extra battery/charger yesterday for 24 bucks! Figured I might as well if this update can make my phone a little better? I find it humorous that these people sell or sold a product that they have absolutely no clue about...

soon to be ICS Bionic
