ICS and Sense 3.5 or 4.0

I trust you man. And even if we don't get 4.0 it will only be a matter of time before some crafty dev gets ahold of it and puts in on the Rezound anyway....hell that scenario will probably happen before we officially get it anyway. HORRAAYYY FOR ROOTING!

In MrSmith317 we trust.
Also, I'm wondering if using a stock type ICS launcher (like Nova, for instance) will work normally with our ICS.
Sense 4.0 looks alright at first glance, it just seems too reminiscent of stock GB, which I got an little tired of on the Droid.

I hear you there man. Stock ICS was fun to play with on the Inc but I didn't get certain things, like the way you put apps on the home screens and all. Seemed like they did a complete 180 from how we've been doing it since day 1 just so they could say "things are different."

Personally, I could care what ICS adds/changes in an aesthetical sense to the Ui. As long as my dual cores are being optimally used under the hood, not as a catch basin for overflow like GB, I'm a happy camper.

I know what you mean. I think they looked at how developed Gingerbread was and realized that the only major advancements left to be done would be the aesthetic ones. Not that I mind, because ICS looks very pleasing and a little more user friendly.
Either this, or they decided to switch things up in order to get the OEM skins/advancements going in a different direction.

Sent from a Galaxy Nexus??? I have a little bit of knowledge on this one and just trust me when I say Sense 4.0.

You would be wrong. All of the Rezounds twins are getting 3.6, and so will the rezound. (And all of the leaks for rezound were 3.6)

Whatever it ends up being, I have no desire to unroot for any of it...I'm going to leave in the capable hands of the developers.

The real question should be what other garbage is Verizon going to shoehorn in there in an attempt to get someone to use VZwhatevertheycomeupwith...example: Introducing the VZappendix....it's a virtual replacement for your own body's actual appendix. And it even sends your contacts and info to every third party Verizon has ever done business with!!

Just to add one more nail in the coffin of the Rezound getting Sense 4.0: The Verge posted an overview of new Sense and the new One series, and HTC says plain as day that no older phones will get Sense 4.0.

In fact, devices like the HTC Sensation will be getting Android 4.0, but it will be getting it with the older, heavier Sense 3 skin. It possible that "elements" of Sense 4 could still find their way to older devices with some future Ice Cream Sandwich build, but there are also other hardware requirements to consider. The primary marketing message for HTC's One line is "amazing camera, authentic sound," which is a gesture both to the HTC ImageChip and Beats audio — a phone without that hardware wouldn't get "the same experience."

There you go. HTC is pulling some heavy BS with this, but I'm not surprised. Get used to the style of Sense 3.5, because unless you root you'll be stuck with it until you replace your Rezound.

We have Beats. I don't know if we have this "HTC ImageChip," though.

The Rezound def has a great video / camcorder.

All of the leaks are 4.0.3. We're getting 4.0.4 with Sense 4. Just trust me bro...I don't know how much more innuendo I can throw into this thread before people get the idea.

We don't. Where beats is a dedicated DSP chip, Imagechip is a dedicated image/camera chip. Maybe other manufacturers will take the hint and put better non-integrated hardware in their phones as well.

We ought to have Droid800 banned from the Rezound forums if he's wrong. ;)

LOL! If that was the basis for kicking people off this site my post count would have only made it to 2!

No you're not. HTC has said as much.

I think with the lighter sense 4.0 the rezound will really improve smoothness and speed wise with not being bogged down with such a resource heavy skin on top. Will be interesting to see how htc does it and when they release it for the rezound.

You'll be more impressed, speed wise, by what you don't see on Rez. ICS allows you ti see what dual core processing is all about. You haven't seen it's potential yet.

yeah but ics or not if there is a heavy skin on top that is going to slow it down. I had a galaxy nexus so I know what stock android can be like.

3.6, which is what the rezound is actually getting, is no lighter than 3.5.
