Ics push

It's a must-have, regardless of whether you're using GB or ICS. The stock keyboard is one thing I found inferior in ICS, but Swiftkey 3 has returned me to thumb mashing nirvana.

Ditto. Haven even tried the stock keyboard actually, went straight to swiftkey

I got the upgrade on Friday, June 22nd. I never signed up to be part of the Soak Test but got the roll out anyway. No issues and the download/install process took about 30 minutes over a wi-fi connection.

I got it Saturday morning (6/23) as soon as I turned the phone on. I got a message saying like "Dear Customer, later this week, Verizon will be upgrading your Motorola Razr Maxx to the Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) operating system. If you'd like to know more about the update, click on the "More Info" button below, if not, press "O.K." It was way too early in the morning for me so I pressed "O.K.". It immediately went to "Downloading Updates" - ??? It downloaded for about 25 minutes (1X Connection - Camping on the Beach). When complete, it said "Do you want to install the Updates?" - I clicked "Install" - about 1 hour later, I was Ice Cream Sandwiched!!! So much for later this week??? It works fine, no bugs noted yet and "Yes" battery life seems to have improved!

Swiftkey 3 works great. I skipped the stock keyboard as well so I can't comment on how smooth stock is.

I received my update on Saturday and have notice that the battery is a little better and that's with heaver than normal usage. The reason I say heaver usage is because I am playing around with the phone more exploring the new features. Everything seems to be running great with the update. It's like a new phone!

Man, I hope I DON'T get it this week as I'm traveling on business and hotel freebie WiFi sucks. I rather be home and do it with my fast home network.

Oh wait, I have unlimited data plan so as long as I have 4G coverage, can I go that route instead?

If you have strong 4g coverage it should be fine. Although I think good Wi-Fi would be preferred.

Also keep a full charge. I read download could be. 20-70 min

You're very optimistic that you'll get it soon :p

Hopefully you'll be lucky enough to get it.

this is annoying they should have just sent the upgrade out instead of notifying me that it would be one. I haven't gotten mine yet, and tired of looking for it.

Not part of the soak test and I'm in no rush really. But Murphy is always around. So if you are in a rush, you get it much later and if are in no rush, like me, I'll probably get it while I'm waiting for a flight at the airport on Wed. :D

The ICS Update is being pushed out to 100,000-200,000 Razr/Maxx owners today and tomorrow. On Saturday, if you didn't get the update, you can manually "Check for update"
