ICS Update for the Nexus S 4G Discussion Thread

No one has the OTA yet, if they do then they haven't said anything. This isn't on XDA yet.

In order to get the zip that you change to "update.zip", we need to wait until someone gets the OTA and they go to either here or XDA to be taught how to extract it OR we wait until Google puts it up on their servers as they said they would when the OTA hit.

So...tl;dr: We're waiting for a bit longer. :P

As soon as we get something I will get it posted here....

I already have a thread built and waiting to open with the official update..

[ICS][NS4G]Official Nexus S 4G ICS/Android 4.x Update

Once it drops that thread will open and everything will be handled from there.

Thanks for being on top of things, Paul. Could you post the directions for getting the zip file if we get offered the OTA? If I can coax Sprint into offering it to me, I'd love to help out, but I don't know how to get it for you...

In case anyone is wondering: from Sprint
- Updates are available OTA (over the air) only and are 'pushed' to devices in stages over a 10-21 day period. Device selection is random

Click linky for more. Patiently waiting :)

they said it would roll out in the time span of 2-3 weeks. It's surprising me that they would announce it but no one has received it yet...

No update yet. Holiday weekend.... probably won't see this til next week. More waiting...

People don't usually have Good Friday off and Easter is on a Sunday. Typically, if the government isn't off on a holiday, most other places wouldn't be either.

If this kind of lollygagging doesn't make you question using android, I'm not sure what DOES. For better or worse, i will still buy a Sprint GNEX the day it comes out, but what a mind job, wishing for timely updates.

Lots of empty parking lots around my work today... Wait or do it yourself
