ICS Upgrade for Asus Transformer TF101 is now Available in US

Just updated mine. Love the over all look of ICS, really like what Google has done.

I was getting the Google+ issue also but updated it and all is well.

Only problem I see now is with ICS on the TF I now kinda want to install ICS on my Rezound or buy a GN...

Mine is definitely a laggy mess since the update and it seems no aspect of the tab is immune. Restarted a couple of times. Bummed.

My Transformer is dead after the ICS update. I got up this morning about 9am and saw that the update was ready. I had my TF on the charger all night in anticipation of the update so I was sure I had a full battery. I installed the update, played around with it for a little bit (very laggy). Thought I would let it sit all day to maybe clear itself up. I did not have it on the charger all day. I just got home a little while ago and picked it up and it will not come on. Thought maybe the battery was dead and I plug in the charger and nothing.

Anyone else have this problem?

Installed this morning and throughout the day i noticed it would reboot but during reboot the circle would freeze but was able to hold in power button and it would go dark then go to lock screen.

Another thing I've noticed is that the volume doesn't seem as loud when watching some videos.

ICS running all day. Chrome is very cool. Some other glitches, but only thing that's flat broke is the camera panorama button - locks the tab up pretty good. Anyone seeing this?

update went smoothly, however i noticed that text selection doesn't work in the facebook app anymore, which kind of sucks. Also, anyone getting an error with android.process.media?

Came home and checked for an update and nothing was available. A couple of hours later, it was ready to rock. Upgrading now in Detroit.

After the update my tf was laggy nothing was working i had to do a factory reset now everything works great however i couldnt back up anything and all of my app data was lost

Just got the rooted version ICS installed then got my apps and settings squared back away. Don't really notice much speed improvement, but I am liking the ability to turn off BT/wireless at the little control panel and really liking the auto-underlining spellchecker feature.

Just updated in San Diego and it seems to be working well. Definitely smoother on screen transitions.

Hate to say it, but this update is a fail. Biggest problem is the new font rendering makes all of text a little bit fuzzy/blurry when it used to be so crisp.

This update also doesn't fix the partial wifi disconnect but that's been a problem forever. I was really hoping they would have figured this out by now, but since Asus has newer hardware out there it's likely this will never be fixed. It's a shame that Asus did such a great job on this tablet and then failed on the little things so badly that I can't recommend buying an Asus product to anyone...I'm actually considering an ipad

Updated lastnight here in PA, and it loaded smoothly and quickly. I have yet to find a flaw in the update so far. My touch screen is much more responsive, the videos load better, and the sound is also better. Best so far is that my keyboard is also responding much better, no lag time, all realtime typing on facebook and on other apps. I like how some of it looks, just will take a little while to get used to. I hope everyone that is having issues can get it worked out b/c mine is great.

Also, anyone getting an error with android.process.media?

I was getting that before the ICS update and kept getting it afterwards. I uninstalled Google Currents and it seems to have gone away. I read elsewhere that GC was causing this error. I was using Pulse more than Currents lately anyway so I don't miss it right now.

I have a problem playing videos in websites. It plays on the page, but when trying to go to full screen it either locks the browser or force closes.. Anyone?

More new problems after update:

Sometimes won't come out of sleep mode without a hard reboot.
Battery drain is much higher than before.

OK, I have a noob question...Is it normal for the updates to roll out to consumers in waves? I have yet to receive the update on my Transformer.

I'm loving the update. Especially how the task manager button opens more smoothly. I handwriting that 2 seconds to show recent apps. Everything is much smoother. The stock browser loads my last session even after my battery died and I restarted. The text selection magnifies the text now which I love. The colors are slightly brighter but really brings a less dull presentation to the u.I.. the browser also renders pages as opera does! So glad I got the tf. The edges are smoothing out and this update is a pleasure.
