i really want this phone but with no news of an att upgrade unlike the international version Im just not to sure and my problem is my upgrades in march, I could get the vivid or skyrocket and get ics but I feel like I would really be losing out if the nitro did get it. What do you think I should do?

Not necessarily true. While the phones are similar, they are not the same thing. Also, AT&T will need to approve the update. LG has no statement on ICS for any of their phones in the US.
