ID3 tags not read properly (year: 0)

My phone can find all my music, but a lot of the album tags show as <unknown> even though I know these tags are filled in. Also, almost all of the 'year' ID3 tags are filled in as '0' when I know every file has the correct year filled in.

I don't know why my phone read the files this way. I have a 128gb SD card, formatted FAT32, and this is where I keep my music. What can I do to get my ID3 metadata reading properly?

Try reading the tags with iTag - Music Tag Editor. If it doesn't read them, either they're not there, or it's a Linux permissions problem (the music player and iTag didn't create the folder, so they can't read the files in it. The default starting date for Linux is 0, meaning midnight at the start of January 1, 1970. If the music player can't read the date, it's "reading" a date of 0.)
