No it won't work. LG/Sprint made changes to thwart it.

The adb stuff runs on mac. If your situation requires you to revert, then you need to do that on a PC. LG's flashing software only runs on PC. If you want it on Mac, need to speak to them.

I too wanted to say "Thanks!" I consider myself pretty knowledgable about computers, but I'm an Android novice. I knew I was in bad shape when I got an error on the first step of the Reborn ROM instructions. Fortunately this Idiots Guide gave me all of the hand-holding that I needed.

did every thing as posted above but when i try to go into Recovery all i get is a black screen. I have to press the menu key then it reboots

Thanks for the great guide. I have my phone rooted and customized to my liking.
Is there anything else I NEED to know about having a rooted phone with a custom ROM? Is there anything critical I need to keep in mind now?

I am not talking about additional options for customization..those are easy to research and learn about. More like:

What if LG or Sprint pushes and update out? Will I still get it? Do I want it? Do I need to do something before I upgrade? etc...

If there are things that someone new to this forum would need to know I would imagine the OP in this thread may be a good place to post it...Just a thought.
