Idle battery is phenomenal!

What I've noticed that most people, specifically reviewers are failing to mention is the idle battery time on this phone is amazing! Regarding flat out on screen time, my note 2 smokes my LG. But on a typical day at work where I'm not on the phone at all times and and it spends a good amount of time in the pocket... That's when it really shines! Where my note 2 continues to drain, my LG hardly does at all.

I noticed this the other day when I had a pretty busy shift and realized 5 hours had gone by without me even glancing at my phone. When I checked the battery I was at 99%! Definitely stomps the note which if I had to guess would have been between 89%-92 at that point if I had to guess. Either way, this has been one of the most pleasant surprises because the times where I worry the most about not being able to plug in are during working hours (12h shifts). Another reason my Note 2 is presently collecting dust...

yup, it surprises me too whenever i unplug it from charge, use it about 15 min, put it down, pick it up an hour later and its STILL at 100%. First time that happened i thought the phone had "frozen", never seen such a slow drain on certain tasks, pretty cool....

For extra Battery saving i downloaded BatteryGuru from the play store, it takes about 2days for the app to learn your phone habits, but it really helps to get extra saving from your battery.

I'm not sure I can get much more savings. I woke up this morning, battery at 100%, sent some IMs, checked Tapatalk, and deleted a few emails, still at 100% (I use WiFi at home). Went and took a shower, got out, still at 100%. Drove to work (answered a couple of IMs while stuck in traffic), 1.5 hours later arrive at work....99%, downloading emails and Tapatalk updates (among other things) all the way. Phenomenal is too mild a word for out. Astounding, Revolutionary, 'berry battery braggarts can kiss my B...erry. That starts to tell the story.

Battery is getting better each day. Installed snapdragon guru (saw all of the S4 people talking about it over there) and juice defender ultimate.

I'm close to getting N2 battery performance now and it has been only 5 days.

Good news.

I completely agree with you, coming from a Note 2 I noticed that even when my Note wasn't being used the battery level still dropped. My LG OGP on the other hand can go several hours without use in standby without dropping from 100% level.

My battery has been phenomenal from day 1, but today my battery is at 48% after 14 plus hours. It usually stands about 75%.
My habits have not changed, checking emails and few calls. Any idea what can cause this drastic change.
Lovin the phone!
