If battery life is the primary concern....

LOL. Battery life on the iPhone 4 is laughable at best... charged to 100% @ 1 am directly followed by bed... already charging again around 4 pm... Sadly, I was upset with the Droid 2 and went for the ihaveittooPhone (currently thinking I would take a buggy OS any day over this phone!) and have almost paid the full retail on several occassions for the TB... My D2 underclocked to 800 MHZ, on the other hand, could go 3 days easy... meh lol

On topic: I had the EVO (and sadly had to give it up due to lack of service :/) and even between 0-1 bars, i got ~30 hrs on a phone that ppl say gets 3 hrs max. lol.

Not sure what iPhone you are using but it's well documented that the battery is superior compared to other devices. I had the EVO as well. Been there done that and that battery was worst than the Thunderbolt. Straight out the box, there's no comparison. But if you turn almost everything off, dim your screen, bump charge, condition your battery make sure you monitor every single tweak then you may get 75% the time of the iPhone 4. But again, like I said that's because the way Apple designed the OS with no real multitasking and limited the processor. Not saying better or worse, but it is what it is.

I spent 2 weeks with an iphone 4 and 1 week with the T-Bolt..

T-Bolt Pros
- Huge screen which I loved
- HTC sense was nice
- It's Android

Cons
- HORRIBLE hardware, went through 6 due to various issues, light leakage, dust under the screen, dead pixels and the last one had a jacked up screen that was not sealed on the top, had a decent size crease at the top where you could see the inside of the phone.. (WTF)

- Battery life was below average. It wasnt AWFUL like some people make it out to be, but I typically had to charge it about twice a day on average to below average use.

Iphone Pros
- AWESOME battery life (it lasted me close to 2 days most of the time with average usage)
- GREAT Display, the retina display is truly awesome.
- Simplicity of IOS..
- AWESOME keyboard (much better than any touch screen kb I have ever used for android)
- APP Store.. Much better selection of games and apps.

Cons
-SMALL screen.. (I really prefer a 4-4.3 inch screen)
-I felt a little locked down with IOS, while I liked the simplicity I really missed the widgets that we get with android, the overall freedom.

Rite now I am back on my OG Droid and gave my iphone to my mom (she loves it) I ended up taking her current upgrade.. I am hoping the Bionic comes out asap and I will gladly go with it, if not I am still contemplating going with an iphone 4 again (iphone 5 is expected to be delayed until 2012 now so it makes the decision a little easier...) All of the bad luck, hard ware issues I had with the T-Bolt is enough to make me stay away for good.

Good topic OP. For the people that have both, what are you sticking with? The Pros and Cons have been listed and I still can't decide. I want video out too and only the iPhone does it. I'm leaning towards TB because the value of the iPhone will drop even more by the time the 5 comes out. A bigger display will be too much to resist. I'd rather have a big display and 4G and deal with the battery.

Thunderbolt blows the iPhone away for two reasons for me, one; 4G LTE! and two; Flash Support. If the iPhone 5 had both, I would probably get it and jailbreak it, because the jailbreaks are terrific.

Sold my iphone4 (at&t NETWORK) for a thunderbolt and I am loving my new phone TB FTW. Loved my iphone4 but I felt as if I was in prison battery life was amazing but the network was another story, if you don't mind being told how to use your phone then get the iphon4 if not TB!! battery life on the bolt is not as good as the iphone4 but look at all that we can do although I don't have an extended battery for those that have concerns with battery life that would take care of any battery issues, IMHO prefer bulk being able to do whatever I want with my phone and blazing fast speed over feeling like I am in prison but that's just me. And I love apple products so I am not being Bias just honest.

I've owned and used a number of different iOS devices and prefer the Android platform. The notification system on the iPhone really annoyed me.

Verizon iPhone 4. barely made it through a full day EVAR without having to charge at some point through the day... meanwhile my beat up year old Incredible lasts me all day easily with screen brightness 100%, sync all, wifi, bt, gps, all that jazz always on... (OMFGB 1.2 RC 2 and incredikernel) basically mostly texting, email, web browsing and listening to MP3s...

Granted, the attached pic was over 2 days with light usage: just texting and phone calls for the most part, but i could never do this with the iP4.

So are you saying that the "ihaveittooPhone"'s battery isn't that good and you like the Andriod OS over iOS?

yes and yes. but that's my personal opinion... i traded my i*hone for a beat up incredible and worry less about charging my Inc. throughout the day. Not sure how that makes sense, lol.

I got the Bolt and my girl got the IPhone4. For what it's worth, she is always *****ing about the battery.

Anyone know how the i*hone battery is compared to the i*od Touch? I have a 32GB Touch and I can barely get 3 hours of time out of it before I have to charge it again. I'm sure the phone battery is bigger due to the fact that it's a phone but why would the best battery phone technology not be put in the Touch also? I'm just saying. My coworker has an i*hone and freaks out if she forgot her charger at home hoping she can make it thru the day.

This is why I just keep a charger at my desk.
