If Bionic is indeed cancelled, what's your next phone?

What phone has your eye in the next 2-3 months. Targa is an obvious choice, but thats pretty far off for now.

I might pull the trigger tomorrow and get the Tbolt, but I'd prefer something better (soon).

If they cancel it I will more no longer purchase Motorola products.

The Droid X2 (now that it's rumored dual core) is looking pretty saucy right about now!

I'm with cereal killer though...if it's got issues don't bring it to market! ;)

I can not Bring myself to buy the Blunderbolt.. I will say the GS2 or Targa. There is nothing else on Verizon I want.

Targa or move over to Sprint for EVO 3D,

or a less likely option Droid 3, but its 3G.

I will either opt for the thunderbolt, because i dont have LTE in my area so the battery may not be that big of an issue for me. The incredible 2 is also another option on my list.

I was thinking about jumping onto the TB with the 1 year contract this weekend and buying the next round of 4G phones next year at this time.

Honestly Bionic not releasing destroyed my plans. I have been using a pink moto razor (mom's old one) because my storm1 broke 6 months ago. I was going to endure until the Bionic, but I don't think I can last for Targa.

Sound like a good idea? :p

If your really on the fence and do not care about the 4G I would suggest just getting a used Dinc or DX and waiting until a phone you really want comes out.

Na I want the 4G that's what kept me waiting for so long. But I want the most "futureproof" 4G phone that'll last for 2 years. I'm in a perfect 4G area and it's very tempting...

But is the Targa going to be pushed up now that more "efforts" are going to be on it? Or a new HTC? It is just unfortunate that information is not released because I WANT to give them my money, just not for crap...

I have been doing so much research lately I'm just losing it.

Thats the rumor I saw in an article that the Targa would be pushed up into Bionics place since it is "cancelled". I still find it hard to believe that the bionic would be cancelled completely but its running rampent around the tech forums and blogs so who's to say without an official statement from moto/VZ.

What possible contortion of logic and reasoning would lead you to that conclusion?

If its canceled, it was Verizon's call. Verizon told Motorola what they wanted, told them how they wanted it designed, and the result was the Bionic. If it isn't released, its Verizon's fault.

OK out of the original four LTE Verizon phones that were announced at CES the winning features are

HTC Thunderbolt - Sense and Dolby Surround sound

Samsung Charge - SAMOLED+ screen

LG Revolution
- Wireless charging (Yes really could not find anything else)

Motorola Bionic - DualCore Tegra 2

If you think of anything else, please let me know.

With all due respect, what logic leads you to assuming it is Verizon's fault? I agree that Verizon may have told Motorola what they wanted, but to assume that Motorola delivered exactly what Verizon requested may be a reach. Who's to say that Motorola may not have delivered exactly what Verizon specified, and although Verizon may have tried to make it work, it ultimately didn't? In that case the blame is on Motorola for not delivering what was requested in the first place.

I agree that it is Verizon's call, but don't necessarily agree that it is also their fault.

TBolt - Kickstand (Had/have this on an old Archos PMP and it is a great feature if watching videos.)

LG - Rummored to be the teacher's pet as far as getting Netflix first.
