If Bionic is indeed cancelled, what's your next phone?

I'm not a fan of the HTC Sense UI, so I have been anxiously awaiting the Bionic. If it truy is scrapped, I'd be considering the Droid X2. Oh how I wish that Verizon would carry the Nexus S. I'd pick that phone above all others, but not at $560.

I'm holding out too. I have played with the Thunderbolt a lot and its not a bad phone at all. I just prefer the Bionic and am hoping that it comes out in Q2 like they said, which means it could be the end of June and still be in Q2. That is two more months they have to get all of the kinks ironed out so i will keep my fingers crossed. At very least they may have something else lined up by then.

Have there actually been any realistic rumors that the GSII is coming to VZW? Everything I have seen online is about the GSM variant - nothing for a CDMA/LTE variant.

If the Bionic is indeed dead, it's very much in both VzW's and Samsung's best interested for the GSII to be released on Verizon (and sooner rather than later, if both can manage it). So I think the odds are good. Timing could be as late as September, though, in which case VzW would lose a lot of potential sales to other carriers who'll have the device sooner.

Do you think, along with the Droid Charge and Samsung Infuse 4G both announced for VZW and AT&T respectively, that they would also carry a device so close in design as the Galaxy S2?

I think they'd be foolish not too. Yes, it would hurt sales of the older phones, but Samsung would make so many GS2 sales than they'd ever make with Charges and Infuses. They hate to kill sales of their own devices, but not if it prevents them from making many more sales of their newer stuff. Especially with this recent news of Apple trying to sue them, I think it is in their best interests to get this phone to market well ahead of the iPhone 5, making the fruit all but irrelevant as far as hardware specs go by the time it launches.

As for Verizon, I think they could care less which device you get, whatever brings you in to sign a contract is good enough for them.

I'm rethinking whether I'm going to wait. I've been using a Droid X as my daily driver since I returned the Bolt, and I don't miss LTE all that much. Right now my plan is to wait for the Dinc2 or Droid Charge and see if I like either of them.

If not, I'll just wait it out and see how the Sensation is in person.

I'm gonna check out the DInc2 and Charge as well. But, do we know that the Sensation is coming to Verizon? Is it gonna go the way of the Incredible S and get a CDMA/LTE radio for Verizon? I'd love to see it on Verizon.

I have a TBolt and live in a 3G Richmond VA. It's okay and I was thinking about tradingit for a Droid X and maybe some cash. What do you think? Since you have used both?

All I know is that HTC sensation is slated for T-Mobile. I have seen nothing that indicates it is coming to Verizon. It is a nice looking phone, but has the same ram as the thunderbolt. I still think its a better device but seriously doubt VZW will get the phone.

That's all I've seen too, but wonder if they would make a version for VZW ala the IncS/Inc2. But, with the hardware much improved over the TBolt, I'd have a hard time seeing it come to VZW too as it would literally destroy any future sales of the TBolt (assuming it would have LTE too).

Well, I wouldn't sign a new two-year for an X right now, especially with the X2 coming. You can get a pretty good used X on ebay for $250-$300, and use it until newer handsets come out. (that's what I'm doing)

Sorry, I meant getting the Sensation on T-mobile, not Verizon.
