If I order through the Play Store, will the Nexus 5 work on Sprint's network?

Just ordered the storm trooper white nexus 5 and I'm on sprint but I was never asked who my carrier was. How will I switch to this phone when I get it. I don't have a sim card at sprint so how does this work ?

You will need to go to a Sprint store and ask them for a SIM (should be free). If they can't provide one, you can call/Email/Chat with Sprint customer care to request one to be sent out to you.

Yes, it will certainly work. As jj14x said, you'll need to visit a Sprint store and pick up a SIM card. See these two links for more information:

All the new LTE phones on Sprint need a LTE SIM to be able to connect to the LTE network. With the Nexus 5, the same SIM slot can be used to switch over to other (GSM) carriers too by swapping their SIM in, and rebooting (and possibly updating the APN settings).

Got my phone and went on to the sprint store. They set I up with a Sim card. It took about 30 minutes but not I'm all set.
