If I root my eve will I be able to switch carriers from sprint to Verizon?

The Sprint network here in NYC is horribly slow, very little 4G and the 3G isn't all that fast either.

I love the EVO but hate the network and would love to be able to cancel Sprint and start using Verizon.

Is this possible? If so, how?

IF you go to Verizon get a Thunderbolt...It's like an Evo.

Funny, I'm also in NYC and get great reception and 4G speeds from Sprint...Anyway, as said before, you won't be able to use your EVO on Verizon, they use different technologies even though they are both CDMA.
